Description

In environment using Intel® Server System M50CYP with RAID volumes configured via Intel® VROC, enabling Secure Boot in BIOS is possible. However, activating preboot DMA protection prevents the operating system from booting.

Resolution

  1. Intel® VROC drivers do not support preboot DMA protection.
  2. Preboot DMA protection can only be enabled if no RAID volumes are configured with Intel® VROC on Intel® Server System M50CYP
