Do Intel® Virtual RAID on CPU (Intel® VROC) Email Notifications Support SMTP TLS/SSL Traffic?

Description

  • Intel® VROC does not provide any outbound email status report because it is unable to use SSL/TLS or enter a mailbox password, which are required for Microsoft* 365 and Gmail* accounts.
  • Inquiry about whether Intel® VROC Simple Mail Transfer Protocol (SMTP) supports Transport Layer Security (TLS)/Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) traffic.

Resolution

Intel® VROC email notifications from the Intel® VROC Graphical User Interface (GUI) does not support TLS/SSL SMTP traffic.

It is recommended that you use an email service that does not require SSL/TLS for SMTP traffic if you need to send outbound email status reports from Intel® VROC.
