Cannot Find a SATA RAID 1 in VMware* ESXi* Created with Intel® Virtual RAID on CPU (Intel® VROC)

Description

The SATA RAID 1 volume was created from the pre-OS using Intel® VROC, but it is not visible in ESXi* 8.0.

Resolution

Intel® VROC for VMware* ESXi* provides support for RAID 1 volumes created using NVMe* disks only. SATA disks are not supported. You will need to contact the system manufacturer for other options to create SATA RAID volumes that are compatible with VMware* ESXi*.
