Drives Connected to the System Are Not Shown in the Intel® Virtual RAID on CPU (Intel® VROC) Graphical User Interface (GUI) for Windows*
Article ID:0000882659/25/24
Description
There are four drives connected to the system, but only two of them are available in the Intel® VROC GUI to create a RAID volume, but all four drives are properly recognized by the operating system.
Resolution
Make sure that Intel® Volume Management Device (Intel® VMD) is enabled for all the drives/ports/slots intended to be used for the desired Intel® VROC configuration, as drives connected to non-Intel® VMD ports (or with Intel® VMD disabled) will not be available.
Additional information
It may also be possible that after a BIOS update, the Intel® VMD configuration is reset and some Intel® VMD ports are disabled causing some of the drives to not be visible in the Intel® VROC GUI. Enabling Intel® VMD again in such ports should fix the issue.
