Description

Intel® VROC is showing an Unknown disk and the RAID 1 volume status is degraded.

Resolution

When a disk is displayed as unknown in the Intel® VROC GUI and/or Intel® VROC logs, it is most likely because the drive has failed. If this drive was a member of a RAID volume, the RAID volume may report the status of Degraded.

In such scenarios, the recommended action to recover the RAID volume is to replace the failed drive (reported as unknown) and rebuild the RAID volume.
