Graid Technology Driver Support Policy
Overview
This document sets forth the driver support policy of Graid Technology Inc. (“Graid”) for its SupremeRAID™ product lines. It is intended to provide customers with a clear, consistent understanding of driver versioning, Long-Term Support (LTS), upgrade expectations, and the current support status across supported operating systems and GPU platforms.
This policy is designed to balance long-term operational stability for enterprise and production deployments with Graid’s continued delivery of innovation through newer driver generations.
Scope and Applicability
This policy describes Graid’s standard driver and hardware support practices and is provided for informational purposes only. In the event of any conflict between this policy and the terms of a written agreement executed between Graid and a customer, the terms of the executed agreement shall prevail.
Versioning Model
SupremeRAID™ drivers follow a structured and consistent versioning scheme:
Major version (X.y.z)
Represents a new driver generation and may include significant architectural changes, new feature sets, or fundamental behavior changes (for example, a transition from 1.x to 2.x).Minor version (x.Y.z)
Introduces functional enhancements, scalability improvements, or expanded platform support within the same major version.Patch version (x.y.Z)
Provides defect corrections, stability improvements, and minor optimizations.Build or Update identifier (for example, 1.7.2 Update 67)
Includes corrective maintenance only, such as bug fixes, reliability improvements, and limited compatibility adjustments.
No new features, architectural changes, or new hardware enablement are introduced at this level.
Long-Term Support (LTS) Policy
Definition of LTS
A Long-Term Support (LTS) release is a designated stable driver branch intended for customers who require predictable behavior, extended maintenance coverage, and controlled upgrade cycles in enterprise environments.
An LTS release:
- Receives critical bug fixes and security updates
- May receive limited platform and kernel compatibility updates when technically feasible
- Does not receive new features, major enhancements, or new hardware enablement
Unless explicitly stated otherwise, LTS support is limited to vendor-supplied kernels and standard configurations for supported operating systems. Custom kernels, backported kernels, or non-standard configurations are supported on a best-effort basis only.
LTS Designation and Duration
- Upon the general availability of a new major version, the latest stable minor release of the previous major version may be designated as an LTS release at Graid’s discretion.
- The standard LTS support period is three (3) years from the initial release date of the designated LTS version, unless otherwise stated in writing.
Example:
- SupremeRAID™ Linux 1.7.2
- LTS start: 2025-06-30
- LTS end (EOL): 2028-06-30
End of Support (EOS) and End of Life (EOL)
To ensure clarity and consistency, Graid defines End of Support (EOS) and End of Life (EOL) as lifecycle milestones applicable to SupremeRAID™ drivers, as described below.
End of Support (EOS)
A driver version reaches End of Support when active engineering maintenance has ceased and no further bug fixes, security updates, or platform enablement are provided.
For LTS releases, Graid maintains full support for the duration of the defined LTS period. Accordingly, Graid does not designate a separate EOS milestone prior to EOL for LTS releases. Existing deployments may continue to operate without restriction until EOL.
Technical assistance, if any, may be provided on a best-effort basis and remains subject to the customer’s applicable support agreement.
“Best-effort” support means that Graid may provide reasonable assistance or guidance but does not guarantee defect resolution, compatibility updates, or specific timelines.
End of Life (EOL)
A driver version reaches End of Life when:
- All support obligations have terminated
- No updates, fixes, or compatibility assurances are provided
- The version is no longer recommended for production use
Unless otherwise stated in writing, for LTS releases, End of Support (EOS) and End of Life (EOL) occur concurrently upon expiration of the defined LTS period, or when the version is explicitly retired by Graid.
At EOL, customers are expected to migrate to a supported driver version.
Upgrade and Feature Policy
- New features, architectural changes, and major enhancements are delivered exclusively in active major branches.
- LTS branches are limited to maintenance and stability-focused updates.
- Customers are encouraged to upgrade to the latest major version to benefit from:
- Performance and scalability improvements
- New functionality
- Expanded operating system and hardware platform support
- For certain product lines, upgrading to a newer major version requires a valid V2 license.

Product-Specific Notes
SupremeRAID™
- Linux 1.7.2 is the only currently supported LTS release.
- Linux 2.x is the active development branch and is recommended for deployments requiring new features, higher scalability, and performance enhancements.
- A Windows LTS release will be introduced after Windows 2.0 becomes generally available and reaches production maturity.
SupremeRAID™ HE
- Linux 1.7.2 is planned to become the LTS release once Linux 2.0 is officially released and stabilized.
- SupremeRAID™ HE is a Linux-only product.
SupremeRAID™ SE and AE
- These product lines do not maintain an LTS branch for 1.x releases.
- Continued access to fixes, enhancements, and platform compatibility requires upgrading to the 2.x driver, which requires a V2 license.
- SupremeRAID™ AE is a Linux-only product.
GPU Support Policy
SupremeRAID™ drivers operate on NVIDIA GPUs and depend on NVIDIA-provided drivers. GPU support is therefore governed by both Graid’s driver lifecycle policy and NVIDIA’s driver availability.
Legacy GPU Support Under LTS
For SupremeRAID™ and SupremeRAID™ HE, the following legacy GPU models are supported under the Linux 1.7.2 LTS branch and the planned Windows 1.x LTS branch:
- SR-1000 (T1000)
- SR-1001 (T400)
- SR-1010 (A2000)
- SR-HE-1000 (T1000)
- SR-HE-1010 (A2000)
These GPU platforms remain supported through the full lifecycle of the 1.7.2 LTS, ending on 2028-06-30.
During this period, Graid provides:
- Critical bug fixes
- Stability and reliability updates
- Limited operating system and kernel compatibility updates when technically feasible
Legacy GPU Support Beyond LTS
- After the 1.7.2 LTS EOL, continued support for legacy GPU platforms is not guaranteed and may be provided on a best-effort basis only in newer major driver branches (2.x and later).
- Active major branches prioritize NVIDIA GPU architectures that are actively supported by NVIDIA.
- Customers operating legacy GPU platforms are advised to either:
- Remain on 1.7.2 LTS for long-term stability, or
- Plan a hardware refresh when migrating to newer driver generations.
Mainstream GPU Support
For SupremeRAID™, the following mainstream GPU models are supported under the active Linux 2.x branch and the next major Windows 2.x branch until an LTS is designated for 2.x and subsequently reaches EOL:
- SR-CAM2 (A400)
- SR-PAM2 (A1000)
- SR-UAD2 (2000 Ada)
- SR-UADE2 (2000E Ada)
Impact of NVIDIA GPU End of Life (EOL)
If NVIDIA announces End of Life for a GPU platform:
- Graid does not automatically discontinue support for that GPU.
- Support may continue under applicable LTS or active branches provided that:
- Compatible NVIDIA drivers remain available
- The GPU continues to operate correctly on Graid-supported operating systems
However:
- Support for new Linux kernels or enterprise distributions introduced after NVIDIA driver EOL is not guaranteed.
- Graid does not commit to a separate or extended minimum support period beyond the applicable Graid LTS or active branch once NVIDIA driver support for a GPU platform has ended.
Policy Updates
Graid may update this policy from time to time to reflect changes in product strategy, platform availability, or third-party dependencies. Updated versions will be published on the Graid website and apply prospectively unless otherwise stated.
Forward-Looking Statement
Future major driver releases will follow the lifecycle principles described in this policy.
Support scope, status, and timelines may evolve based on:
- Operating system and platform changes
- NVIDIA GPU and driver lifecycle decisions
- Customer demand and deployment scale
Nothing in this document constitutes a guarantee of perpetual support for any specific driver version, GPU platform, or product configuration.
